His Kingdom Church is a new church community in Knysna, South Africa - rooted in Scripture, led by the Spirit, and committed to seeing lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Why We Exist
We exist for one simple reason:
To see people get to know Jesus, grow as disciples of Christ and live for His Kingdom.
Our Story
His Kingdom Church didn't begin with a strategy - it began with a calling.
Over time, through prayer, Scripture, and deep conviction, God stirred a vision: to plant a church in Knysna that reflects the beauty, power, and simplicity of the early Church.
This journey has not been about having everything figured out. It has been about obedience.
We've seen God lead step by step through confirmation, community, and a growing burden to see a people:
- deeply devoted to Jesus
- formed by His Word
- alive in the Holy Spirit
- committed to one another
We resonate deeply with the conviction that the Church is not a place to attend, but a people to become - a living expression of Christ on the earth.

Mission
We believe God has sent us to Knysna on mission, to love people and build a community rooted in the New Testament gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe in extravagant worship, we gather to honour God with passion, joy, and reverence, offering Him our very best.
Leadership
We believe Jesus is the head of His Church, and that leadership exists to serve His purposes - not to build around one person, but to strengthen His people.
We are committed to raising and releasing leaders who equip every believer for the work of ministry, so that the whole church is built up and grows into maturity in Christ (Ephesians 4:12).
In line with the New Testament, we believe local churches are led by a plurality of elders, who shepherd, teach, and guard the life of the church, and supported by deacons, who serve and strengthen the practical life of the body. This shared leadership reflects God's design for healthy, accountable, and Christ-centred churches.
Our desire is not to create spectators, but a people who are:
- equipped in the Word
- led by the Spirit
- actively serving and ministering to one another
Leadership, in this sense, is not about position - it is about example, responsibility, and equipping others.
As part of the wider Four12 Global Network, we also value apostolic partnership and accountability, recognising that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. We walk with other leaders and churches who share our conviction to see biblical, Spirit-filled, disciple-making communities established.
Ultimately, we long to see a church where: every believer is equipped, every gift is active, and every person plays their part in building up the body of Christ.
What We Believe
We hold to historic, biblical Christianity - rooted in Scripture, centred on Jesus, and lived out in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in one God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who is perfect in love, unity, and holiness, and who invites us into relationship with Him.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man - that He lived a sinless life, died in our place, rose again in victory, and will return to establish His Kingdom in fullness.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, shaping our lives, forming our faith, and guiding everything we do.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone - a gift from God that transforms our hearts and leads us into a new life of following Him.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ - a people called to live in authentic community, to grow as disciples, and to make disciples of all nations.
We believe that every believer is called to know Jesus, become like Him, and make Him known - living lives that reflect His love, truth, and power in the world.
